Cynthia Olson, M.D.

I am a graduate of the University of Alberta Medical School. I did a 2 year Family Medicine Residency and have been practicing Family Medicine for over 25 years.

I became interested in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy when the Women’s Health Initiative study showed just how dangerous the synthetic hormones we’d been prescribing were.

I found so many of my patients were in a conundrum where they could either risk some of the devastating side effects of conventional therapy, and maintain a productive life; or go off conventional hormone therapy, and feel fatigued, weak, and generally unwell.

They also risked losing the benefits of replacing their hormones. This led me on a search for an answer to this dilemma for both patient and physician.

I had an opportunity to spend a lot of time researching, reading, and learning about bioidentical hormones, and I have become very excited about having found this, both well researched and yet cutting edge therapy.

I’ve spent over 10 years in clinical practice of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, and am happy to say, I receive immense satisfaction from the increase of quality of life this therapy brings to my patients.
